‘everything she left behind that fits in my hand’ is basically the title realized, where every object from my collection of objects that belonged to martha graham – that was small enough to fit in my closed fist – was notated on camera. the stream of colored backgrounds follows the order of a group of small colored “ticks” found in one of walter benjamin’s notebooks during my research of benjamin’s archives in 2011 in berlin. graham’s objects also participated in a number of other related works that were exhibited at LACE (los angeles contemporary exhibitions) summer of 2012 in the solo exhibition “shells, bells, steps and silences”.

the video presented here is an excerpt of the film, which is 6 minutes long.
