• shells, bells, steps and silences, 2012

this body of work was mainly built through research during a one month residency at the akademie der kunste, looking at the walter benjamin’s archives. some of the works also collide with john cage’s 4’33” and others connect with two boxes of small objects that belonged to choreographer and dancer martha graham.

the works were exhibited in two simultaneous solo exhibitions, one titled “shells, bells, steps and silences” at lace – los angeles contemporary exhibitions – in hollywood california –  which contained 6 video and sound works. the show was curated by robert crouch.
