the paintings were made using small sections of a 12 page classical music score. the letter equivalents of the musical notes determined numbers which then became a score for actions, images, marks, etc.

the sculpture was created by taking a map of buddhist pilgrimage sites in india and laying the locations down on a blank sheet of music paper. the places became musical notes and the letter equivalent determined the hight of a dowel. the dowels were then connected intuitively with plaster cloth. the paint colors were mixed from various sources of research on synaesthesia, giving a variety of color equivalents for musical notes.
