this LP was part of the en/of series of artist editions pairing a visual artist with a sound artist on an edition that includes an LP as well as a visual multiple. for this project i worked with doug aitken, a good friend, who i have also collaborated with in the past. years ago i composed a number of pieces for doug to use in his piece "into the sun". i created a series of short tracks using the acoustic sounds of my super 8 camera as well as the voice of the great indian playback singer m. raffi as sound sources. much of this work was used in the soundtrack for the installation. for the split multiple, i decided to re-visit the tracks and used them as source material for new compositions.



doug's multiple was a pair fo color photographs entitled cul de sac.
